I just wanted to take a second and talk about my current favorite Essential Oil. I've been mentioning it randomly to random people (even strangers) and I know that people think that I don't have all my marbles. I seriously think about stuff like this ALL the time and sometimes, at random moments, it just escapes my mouth.

Anyway, I'm sure you've heard of this one. I think everyone, even if they've never touched an essential oil bottle, has bought something that claimed to have this oil in it! And that oil is Tea Tree. I have been using tea tree essential oil for a few years now and I've always felt the need to blend it with another (better smelling) essential oil. And as a result I didn't quite appeciate it as I should have. I have downright taken it for granted as a matter of fact.

But not anymore! I've noticed recently that I use tea tree essential oil in almost all of my day to day handmade items like soap, body butter, toothpaste, mouthwash and I even used it recently to treat my sweet, floppy eared dog's ear infection. It is probably the most versatile essential oil but don't quote me on that.

And it's pretty commonly available and not among the most expensive oils either. Along with peppermint and lavender this oil is very accessible.

Some of it's properties are antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antiviral and that's just to name a few. It's primary uses are relieves colds, sinusitis and bronchitis; stimulates immune system, clears acne, and alleviates skin irritations.

So with that being said. Get you some! lol No seriously, if you haven't tried tea tree essential oil there are some very simple recipes for facewash, body butter and mouthwash (<--recipe below) using very basic ingredients on pinterest and other places in cyberworld. And if you too love tea tree essential oil, what are some of your favorite ways to use it? Let me know in the comment section.

Have a great day,

Jess
